About Quizoma
Quizoma is a free quiz and test maker for teachers, made by CraftByte Studio. It exists because three ordinary classroom problems kept going unsolved.
Who makes it
Quizoma is built and run by CraftByte Studio. The same team makes the Android app, Quizoma Studio in the browser, and the quiz-taking page at quizoma.com/take — and reads the support inbox.
Why it exists
Written answers deserve fair marking
Most quiz tools compare a typed answer to the key letter for letter, so a student who writes Pythagorus scores the same as one who wrote nothing. That makes written questions expensive to set, and teachers stop asking them. Quizoma was built to auto-grade short answers the way a teacher would: a close spelling still counts, numbers match in any form, and an explanation can be checked for the ideas it covers. When a question really needs judgement, the whole quiz can be switched to manual marking.
School Wi-Fi is not reliable
Networks fail when thirty devices join at once. So every answer is saved on the participant's own device the moment it is given and synced when the connection returns. Only joining and signing in need the network.
Students should not be shown ads
A quiz screen in front of a class is not an advertising space. Quizoma has no ads and no in-app purchases, and the data it holds exists to run quizzes and produce your reports — it is not sold.
Where it is today
Quizoma Studio, the online quiz maker, is in public beta in the browser. The Android app launches on Google Play on 1 November 2026. Both share the same account and the same quizzes, and every feature is free to use today.
