Free MCQ test maker — marked before the bell.
Quizoma is a free MCQ test maker: write single choice, multiple correct and true/false questions, share one code with the class, and every paper is scored the moment it is handed in.
What you can build
Three objective formats cover almost every multiple choice paper:
- Single choice — several options, one right answer.
- Multiple correct — more than one right answer. Turn on partial credit and a student earns marks for each correct option they pick, while ticking every box is not rewarded.
- True/false — with an optional box for participants to explain their choice.
Each question can carry its own points, a timer, a hint and an explanation that is shown afterwards. A quiz holds up to 20 questions by default, and you can drop a couple of written questions in at the end of an MCQ test without changing tools.
A worked example
Good multiple choice questions are built from the mistakes your class actually makes. Take one question from a photosynthesis unit:
Oxygen is the distractor that matters: students who choose it have mixed up what plants take in with what they give out. When the results come back, accuracy per question shows how many fell for it, which tells you more than the class average does.
Now a multiple-correct version: Which of these are renewable energy sources? with Solar, Wind, Coal and Natural gas. A student who picks only Solar has half of it right. With partial credit on, the score says so; with it off, the question is all or nothing.
Getting the questions in
Type them, paste a block of text, or import a .txt or .csv file.
The importer reads single choice, multiple correct and true/false questions and shows them all
for review before saving. Questions you want to reuse go into the Question Bank. If you want a
starting point, the free quiz templates are ready-made CSV files in
exactly that format.
Sharing and marking
Every quiz gets a 6-character quiz code and a QR code. Students open quizoma.com/take in any browser, enter the code and sign in with Google — there is nothing to install. Objective questions are marked the instant a paper is submitted. You decide when students see their score: straight away for practice, or only when the quiz ends or you announce results for a test.
Results show the score spread and accuracy for each question, and the online quiz maker exports PDF, Excel and CSV reports. If you mix in written questions, you can auto-grade short answers with typo tolerance or mark them yourself.
